Who are Spectre Analysis?

Hi and thank you for viewing our blog. Spectre Analysis are a private, non-profit making, Paranormal Research group based in Crewe and Nantwich are, Cheshire. It's founders were previously part of a similar group for over two and half years and have a large portfolio of investigations to date. Our team are mature, and professional individuals who take our 'hobby' (as some would call it) seriously and responsibly.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Our main focus is to approach the field of the paranormal from a scientific and evidence based approach, studying and collecting accurate evidence that will help us form theories that may explain paranormal sites. Were not all quantum physicists but we try to understand as much to our ability the scientific aspects of our work.

A large majority of investigations are done on the assumption that sites are 'home to' ghosts and spirits. For instance some popular assumption are:

> Mediums CAN contact the dead?.
> Calling out... can ghosts hear and react to verbal request?
> Orbs are ghosts?
> Former residents are responisble for hauntings?
> Graveyards and cemetaries are full of ghosts?
> You can see ghosts better in the dark?

These could be true but there is not suffient evidence to support them. This could also lead to the possibility of suggestion.

WHAT WE DONT DO?
We are not "Ghost Hunters" and we do not 'banish' or 'exorcise' alleged 'ghosts' or 'spirits'.

OUR OBJECTIVES?
1. To collect verifiable evidence to support the theory that the human soul survives after death.

2. Help clients (and ourselves) to form a clearer understanding of what may be causing unexplained phenomena.

3. Continualy strive to keep an open mind and a skeptical approach to our work.

WHERE DO WE INVESTIGATE?
As you can see, a lot of our investigations have taken place in Pubs. These places have been a communial meeting places for hundreds of years, and hold a vast amount of history and memories attached to them. But generaly we will investigate most any loction in an around the Cheshire area and also further.

COLLABORATIONS
We are aslo interested in working with other like minded people and groups. If you are a medium or a sensitive we would also like to work with you, but please note we will doing so as an assessement of your ability and we will be looking for tangible evidence which can be checked through historical records and research methods.

HOW DO WE FUND OUR RESEARCH?
All of our equipment is privately owned and funded individualy by each team member, travel and misc expenses are shared equally beween the team.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO WE USE?
We have a good selection of equipment some of which include:

EMF meter's, IR video cameras, IR Handycams, IR Lights, Motion Detectors, IR temperature sensors, TV monitors, Digital still cameras, Stud meter, Light sensors, Digital voice recorders, Dowsing rods, Lap tops, Re-chargable battery packs, Oh and of course there's TED.

DO WE CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICES?
In a nut shell...NO we don't.

The 'Mitch' Summary

Our investigation at the 'Mitch' took place on Valentines night. The Mitch was built in 1957 on the foundations of the Whitehouse (seen here), a house built by John Baddeley, a pottery manufacturer in the mid 17c and many of its staff and players have experienced a wide variety of strange phenomena over the years, and we were all very looking forward to the nights investigation. Our chaperone's for the evening were Andy and Karen (representatives).

We were unfortunately hindered at the beginning of vigil by a helicopter flying over head and external noise from the clubs and pubs close by. But this all had settled down by 11pm. We focused our attentions predominately on the auditorium as this had had the most reports and Dressing Rooms 1, 4 and the workshop. Steve, Jacquie and Sarah went to DR4 to check for any high EMF readings and to clarify any areas with electric cables with the stud meter as this was one area reported as having 'sinister' feeling.

We started with a grounding session to relax everyone and spiritual protection for those who requested it. As I said in our introduction above, we generally do not use mediums. What we like to do is try and develop our own 'psyche' as much as possible on a location and analyse our experiences. It was suggested that we checked that all the seats in the auditorium were 'up', these were checked by 4 of our team members. We set up our equipment and centred ourselves on the main stage. Shula sensed a little girl close by, the name given was Clara, although she felt that this may be a residual energy. Jacquie asked her to pull down one of the seats! All present could hear faint 'whistling' or 'squeaking' but we could not pin point its source. At one point Steve thought he saw something in the theatre auditorium and Jacquie thought she heard something. Whilst we were having a short break, Sarah pointed out that one of the seats had come down (a photo was taken which you can see here on the right) at the rear of the auditorium. Andy commented that this was the seat that had been given to Mary Blakeman, a patron of the theater, a plaque had also been placed above the seat. Was this Mary showing her presence? Could it have fallen down naturally? Was this a set up? or was it the little girl playing games? We then gently moved one of the seats downwards to see if it was easy for the seat to fall down..... strangely the seat made the sound we had heard earlier!!!

We had placed trigger objects in both dressing rooms, but we had no activity around these. We also used a pendulum experiment (a pendulum was suspended in a closed perspex box), this was to see if any spirits could use their energy to swing the pendulum . . . we had no activity here.

We also experienced a weird 'pipe' knocking in the workshop? But the pipe did not actually lead to anywhere or was connected to any electrical or water supply?

All in all a quiet nights investigation. Unfortunately the information that came through Jack and Shula cannot be corrolated. The theatre is about to undergo extensive renovations, so it will be interesting to see if this makes any of the 'resident spirits' restless?

Once we have analysed all our digital/video footage a full report will be uploaded shortly.
